Notes of Ir Samuel K.S. Fung on Work Experience : 

(1)     Ir Fung studied the 2nd year (direct entry) of the BSc course in England from October 1980 to June 1981. During the summer vacation from June 1981 to September 1981, he worked in the U.K. with Scott Houghton (U.K.) Consulting Engineers as Assistant Engineer for design and drafting of electrical work. He completed the BSc course in July 1982 and took holiday in England and in the Continent of Europe during August - October 1982. 

(2)  From October 1984, Ir Fung commenced to serve as a Visiting Lecturer for my teaching service on part-time evening (PTE) basis in the following institutions :

(3)     In October 1989, Ir Fung was seconded to a special project team to participate testing   &   commissioning and taking over of all E & M building services installations of the new 45-storey   headquarters building of Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong which was practically completed in May 1990. A QRR (Quality, Responsiveness and Reliability) Award Certificate for his outstanding performance was thus awarded to him by the Bank. In January 1991, Ir Fung took an immigration opportunity of both working and studying higher education in the U.K., and he started to work with IEI Building Services Engineers (Leeds) of Conder Group plc. on 18/1/91 in the U.K. under a 4-year Work Permit of the U.K. Government. Ir Fung commenced his part-time study of the MSc course in the University of Glasgow while he was working in Leeds.

(4)     The parent group of Ir Fung's U.K. employer IEI Building Services Engineers, Conder Group plc., went to receivership in October 1992 due to the long persisted recession in the U.K., and all about 50 employees including himself were made redundant then he returned to Hong Kong in December 1992 for resumption of work in Hong Kong.
